COMPANY INFORMATION
I
started Vermont Bee Balm Company in January of 2003. I had worked
for 15 years at the front desk of a local health clinic. Everyday
I would encounter people of varied backgrounds, many of which had
such severely cracked fingers, I would wince just imagining the pain
they must have been in.
My family
and friends had been using Bee Balm since I started making it in the
late 80’s. I would make up a large batch, package it, and sell
it at local craft fairs. The surplus made great holiday gifts! My
husband kept trying to convince me to market Bee Balm on a larger
scale. The more I thought about it, the more I was able to convince
myself that Bee Balm could find a niche in the already burgeoning
lotion market.
My dream
is that the benefits of Bee Balm will spread by word of mouth, hence
the phrase on the back of the tin: ‘Bee Happy, pass it on!’.
Since my first encounter with my own cracked skin, years ago, I have
been and remain committed to the awareness and healing of dry, cracked
skin.
